Father’s House Church

A decade previously, our firm provided design services for Father’s House Church in their downtown Longview location. Experiencing growth, the church decided to purchase a building that was previously used as a movie theater, to remodel for their new location. Father’s House asked us to provide design services to help them remodel the theater for their current needs. The remodel resulted in a total of 22,500 square feet on two levels. Three theaters were combined into one large worship center with a balcony that would accommodate 680 people. In order to create a space large enough for the church, two load bearing walls were removed and replaced with some large structural beams. One of the large theater spaces was converted into youth and children’s classrooms with a new 2nd floor added to gain additional children’s classroom space. A new elevator and fire sprinkler system were required to be added to the building.
