Neahkahnie School District regularly expands and updates its facilities to meet the changing needs of their students, and Brittell Architecture has been there to help the district through many projects. The initial phase of the project was to upgrade their welding lab, to provide improved ventilation as well as upgraded electrical infrastructure to accommodate the latest welding equipment. A few years later, they funded a second project to upgrade the wood shop. This included replacing the aging electrivcal infrastructure and lighting, as well as the dust collection and HVAC systems. Ancillary spaces were reconfigured to provide grater materials storage, as well as adding new electronics lab. Everything was designed with the “long life, loose fit” paradigm so that the facility will continue to effective serve the students for years to come.
