This residence is located in a prominent subdivision in the northwest hills of Longview, Washington. The residence is a total of 4,132 square feet, not including accessory areas. The total main level heated area is 2,688 square feet and includes generous outdoor covered areas. There is a full daylight basement that is 1,444 square feet and includes additional living space and a large shop area.

The owner requested that Brittell Architecture design a traditional “French Country” residence on a residential lot that they had purchased. Special care and consideration needed to be taken in the design in order to meet the program requirements that the owner conveyed to us. The lot was sloped and not very large for a house of this size. In order to fit the shape of the property, the garage is angled from the house at a 35-degree angle.
